Jewish Store in Paris: Starting in 1942, a series of anti-Jewish laws compelled Jewish owners to identify their stores as "Jewish businesses" ("entreprise juive").
C’est une « dramédie » sur la peur et sur le courage que nous livre ici Jean Philippe Daguerre. La période de l’Occupation en France a forcé beaucoup d’hommes et de femmes à faire des choix, à se confronter à leur morale et à leur conscience.
Et ce sont des choix que doit faire Pierre Vigneau dans la pièce. Tout d’abord, celui d’accepter d’héberger clandestinement son patron, un Juif du nom de Joseph Haffmann.
Ce dernier, en échange, lui cède sa bijouterie. Mais Pierre Vigneau a une autre requête à formuler : il désire absolument avoir un enfant mais ne le peut car il est stérile, il demande donc à Monsieur Haffmann d’avoir dès rapport sexuels avec sa femme jusqu’à ce qu’elle tombe enceinte.
Jean-Philippe Daguerre
Après une formation au Conservatoire national de Bordeaux et au Studio Pygmalion, Jean-Philippe Daguerre commence une carrière de comédien pour finalement se tourner vers la mise en scène. Il dirige la compagnie Le Grenier de Babouchka avec son épouse et y produit de nombreux classiques qu'il met en scène : Les Fourberies de Scapin, Le Malade imaginaire et Cyrano de Bergerac entre autres. Cette dernière pièce est choisie pour initier le projet d'un festival de théâtre à ciel ouvert à la citadelle de Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Homme aux multiples talents, Jean-Philippe Daguerre est également auteur. Il réécrit et met en scène des contes tel qu'Aladin, nominé pour le Molière du Jeune Public en 2016. La même année, il crée sa propre pièce inspirée de faits réels avec le spectacle Adieu Monsieur Haffmann.
This "dramedy" is about fear and courage. The German occupation of France during the Second World War forced many men and women to makes choices, and to reflect on their moral values and their conscience. Those are the choices Pierre Vigneau must make. First among Pierre's choices is whether he should give clandestine shelter to his boss, Joseph Haffman, a Jewish jeweler. In exchange for Pierre's protection, Joseph transfers ownership of his store to Pierre. Pierre, however, wants more: Being sterile, he asks Monsieur Haffmann to sleep with Isabelle, Pierre's wife, until she becomes pregnant.

After completing his studies at the Bordeaux National Conservatory and at Studio Pygmalion, Jean-Philippe Daguerre started his stage career, first as an actor, and then as a director. He and his wife manage the Grenier de Babouchka theater company, where he produced and directed many repertory plays, including The Impostures of Scapin, The Imaginary Invalid, and Cyrano de Bergerac. This last production was chosen to launch the open-air theater festival of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, in the Basque region. Also a playwright, Jean-Philippe Daguerre has adapted and directed fairy tales such as Alladin, nominated in 2016 for the Young Audiences Molière Award. It is also in 2016 that he wrote Adieu Monsieur Haffmann, a play based upon actual events.
